"Lazy Days"
|
I
have always been passionate about wildlife, in particular wolves and apes,
but have only been painting for the last three years.
I
spent the first six months discovering pastels and was overwhelmed by what
I could achieve. Encouraged by family and friends I began to undertake
animal portrait commissions. A
year later I entered the “Not the Turner Prize” Competition with a
Chimpanzee portrait, my first wildlife painting.
Amazingly I was short-listed for the final from 10,000 entries and
my painting was exhibited at the Mall Galleries in The
icing on the cake was then to discover I was a finalist in the PAWS 2003
competition.
