When I left school I trained as a teacher and taught all subjects to infant and junior children. At the same time I taught myself to sculpt wild flowers and animals in porcelain and eventually I left teaching and earned my living from my sculpture. In 1998 I returned to teaching and this time I worked with secondary pupils with special needs. Gradually I have been pulled back to my art and I have become fascinated with the versatility of modern coloured pencils.
